Research and development are still of principal significance within the energy sector, especially in dealing with some of the major difficulties faced by human kind today – such as ozone depleting substance and global warming.
Pathak Corporation concentrates mainly on six main forms of energy:

- Wind power and carbon dioxide (CO2) capture;
- Research on climate change and other renewable technologies.
Biomass energy R&D seeks ways to capture the stored energy in waste. Farming, forest, metropolitan and food processing waste, most of which, if left to rot outside, progress towards emission of methane gas. Methane is a greenhouse gas that can be utilized to produce energy.
CO2 capturing innovations try to capture discharges of fossil fuel burning processes that would somehow escape into the environment, or to capture CO2 already available in the environment.
Hydroelectric generation– It comprised of R&D in better utilization of streams to deliver power and is divided between R&D in technologies for small-scale projects such as run-of-river facility and R&D for huge dam ventures, which is generally more conventional innovation. Hydro power also works parallel as balancing power, since dam flows can be increased or decreased rapidly manage power creation and alter it to request at a specific point in times
